BLOG CHANGING FOCUS

February 25, 2014

This monthly blog began in June, 2009 following the Forensic Scriptures Conference in New York City which commissioned the book, Three Testaments: Torah, Gospel and Quran. For 36 months during the research and writing of the book, the purpose of the blog was to facilitate discussion and input from an online community of students, scholars and friends. Then for 20 months more we worked together to promote the 3T brand as the main book came out in 2012, the 3T Companion in 2013, the 3T paperback in 2014 and to introduce the play, Three Testaments: Shalom, Peace, Salam, now scheduled for publication in 2015 prior to its Off Broadway opening.

But after nearly five years of evolving focus on the emerging 3T brand as a whole, the development of the play requires a new approach to this monthly blog. The focus on the book and the brand will now take second place to the play, which I discover is a different kettle of fish entirely. We’ll touch on the larger picture occasionally, but I will need input and support for the play as it takes shape. It has been performed in several places now, but unlike a book which is finished at some point, a play seems to keep evolving.

Some 960 monthly recipients of this blog are being joined this month by 24 new members of our community, comprising the Judson Players of NYC who just performed a staged reading and look forward to a full production run Off Broadway next year. Another dozen or so from the Riverside Theatre are also joining us today, and we hope to have a major announcement about their involvement next month.

There are blog recipients in Hong Kong, the UK and Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, all points in North America and elsewhere, and we’d love it if you all stayed aboard the 3T ship. You’ll be offered an online copy of the script in a few months. Later on, some of you may be also needed when the play finishes its run, as we move toward the publication of The Dead Zee Scrolls of Zoroastrian texts in 2016. That conclusion to the 3T hexology is pending the expected release of newly discovered Zoroastrian texts from ancient times, an event to rival the discovery of The Dead Sea Scrolls, imagined and even anticipated since the inception of the 3T project.

Thank you all for your interest and support.
